Style

I am at a point now where I have enough experience in visual arts and I want to develop my own personal style. I'm not really sure how to do this. I guess making as much art as I can in different medias will help, but what else? It's also really hard for me to make a lot of pieces that appeal to myself without copying everything. I'd like some advise, especially from the more experienced artists out there.

Well right now I am a student studying biology. I eventually want to get into either deep sea ecology or marine parasitology. Although I love science, I also love philosophy, anthropology/culture, aquarium keeping, skiing, yoga, volunteering with cat shelters, and of course, art.

I spent a year as a glass blowing apprentice and that was one of the coolest experiences I've had, but with the economy the way it is I was laid off right when I was getting good. I admire all forms of art really, but watercolor has a special place in my heart.
